How I did it: I applied for a working visa through SWAP, and then left for Ireland. All I really had to do was get the documents in order, I gave them to Travelcuts, and a month later I got my working visa. I found a job and a place to live when I got there. Read how I did it…
How I did it: My husband is in the military and he got stationed there right before we got married... because we hated the seperation we decided to get married and 8 months later (Army is SLOW on paperwork!) I moved with him. It was VERY exciting and one of a kind experience! Read how I did it…
How I did it: After college, I wasn't very clean on what I wanted to do next with my life. I decided to go abroad to England while I figured out what to do.Because of an Irish grandparent, it turned out that I could actually get an Irish passport and live and work anywhere in the European Union. One application form from the Irish consulate and one month later I got my passport and was off. It's been six years since I moved and it's been one… Read how I did it…
How I did it: It only took me 5 years because it took me that long to take up the courage and realize it was do or die - I had a fantastic job with promotion potential and if I didn't do it then, I saw a dead end of moving up the corporate ladder. After I had that realization it took me less than a month to find a reliable job (I had a referral to a viable workplace from a friend.)Over a year later, and I've resigned at a school teaching English … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I got into an awesome animation program, which was online, meaning I could do it from anywhere. I’ve lived abroad in the Philippines but that doesn’t really count since it was such a young age where my memories are minimal. Most recently, I stayed there for only four months so it was more like a long trip.
I’d like to really live abroad for at least 6 months. The question is…where?
We’re thinking about staying in Macedonia for a few months after getting married. I figure now is the time to do it.

Hey! So my chance to live abroad will be coming up shortly. I’ve decided to spend part of July and all of August in Montreal, QC! Mostly to do some self-exploration, some creative expressionism, travel, and to learn about life. It’ll be my hiatus before I get back into the life of working hard and making it big! Whoopeee!
I have been accepted by the Office of Study Abroad at my university for the program I wanted in Ecuador! I’m totally excited! So unless there are any complications, this time next year I’ll be finishing a semester at USFQ :)
Although I will not be working for my current employer i will still move to Morocco. I will have a new employer.
I will start off in Agadir(coastal city) and later on will go on to Marrakech.
I spent a couple weeks in remote parts of SE Asia and decided upon my return that I think I like the US and for the time being I have no aspiration to move anywhere abroad. Wow! This is a 180 from a couple yrs ago!
I’ve felt like I wanted to travel and experience a new and different way of life I suppose since one of my friends emigrated to the USA when I was 12. I went to visit her when I was 17 and I just loved the seeing all the cultural differences and trying out the things these american teenagers did for fun. It felt fresh and exciting just having a little taster of their lives. When I came home after the summer I had so many crazy, fun and unique stories to tell my friends and they were in awe. Ever since the idea of living abroad has fascinated me. I want to make the most of my life, learn a lot and make the most of all the experiences the world has to offer, and I think I always feel more enthusiastic about trying new things when I’m out of the day to day routine of my normal life. Plus I love the sun! And it is always cold grey and raining here :( So I want to live abroad (Not just the USA) at least for a year or 2.
