best days of my life
Don’t know why London fascinates me so much. Somehow, I have gravitated toward all things Anglican and don’t know how it began. It’s not that I love big cities (live in one and don’t like it), and London is huge, but somehow, I still feel the need to be there.
Do I know anything about London? Not really. Don’t know what to see once I get there, but somehow I feel that once I get there, I will know exactly what to do.
i’ve always wanted to see the buildings, and meet the people :)
Worth doing!
went on a school trip, stayed in the city for five days, but packed in a LOT of memories in that short time. i was really sad to leave.
Worth doing!
Worth doing for tourist visit or a day or two out but i wouldnt like to Live there.
and I can honestly say I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!
So many great things to do and see –

London Dungeons (learn about London’s history in a completely different way),
British Museum,
West End Theatres (go see Wicked! the musical)
Trafalgar Square,
Museum of London,
to name but a few…
There are also some really good parks and shopping areas
Visit Regents Park, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Gardens, Knightsbridge, Mayfair and Oxford Street
And I can’t wait for the London 2012 Olympics!
Worth doing!
just got back from most gritty, visceral vacation of my life – went to london by myself for week; a definite place you should cross the pond for.
also, if you’re into meeting new people – especially crazy irish people, australians who are white as day yet convinced the are aboriginal, sex-crazed bartenders and scottish chicks who call you’re mom when you’re not looking – stay at the astor hyde park hostel, it’s a helluva time because, invariably, you have to throw yourself into the new culture. plus, it’s right across the street from hyde park (beautiful and home to the most nonchalant ducks and swans you’ll ever come across) and in an actual residential neighbourhood which gives you the cache of not feeling too incredibly touristy. and hey, you might even get lucky in the stairwell (i did.)
additionally, the london eye is overrated, but the tate modern is one of the most fascinating places you’ll ever set foot in. also, be sure to stand astride time and straddle the hemispheres in greenwich, just to say you did. and, if you’re into getting lost or feeling like alice in wonderland, check out the maze at hampton court palace – you’ll feel worlds away from london but it’s still just in zone 6.
London was very cool. Easy to get around, things are familiar (yet different), lots of history, and I felt pretty safe. I can’t wait to go back!
