get back into my art

I’m not taking any classes from now (mid-May) through August. Although I will be doing some traveling and such, I’ll have plenty of lazy free time with which I can hopefully get a handle on some of my affairs. I plan to spend a large portion of the summer organizing my photos, taking new ones, designing a concept piece or two, writing, and painting. I’m thinking I’ll need some psychoactive inspiration, but nonetheless, this summer will really give me a chance to explore my art in an environment conducive to doing so. I haven’t had much experience with this. I’m always busy with school or a job or my friends, but I’m finished with school for a bit, I can’t get a job until I get my student visa (which likely won’t arrive until the end of the summer), and I don’t have enough friends here to distract me. Wish me luck.

Upon arriving to Holland, I bought a brand new Nikon D40X dSLR camera to facilitate new photo-projects. My creativity tends to be a bit manic-depressive, but this beautiful country brings out the best in me. There is no organization or logic for the time being, but once I collect my thoughts and have a chance to catch my breath, hopefully something will come out of the wreckage.

i think that’s the issue. i teach it, i’m around it all day, but i find everything so uninspiring…
one day. now that i’ve got my studio and darkroom set up, i just don’t use them! what a waste!
