birdie99 was not so much in the spotlight as were daddy and sue. daddy was doing well with the b-58 hustler bomber and sue was off to college driving the vauxhall. odd name and even odder car. we added air conditioning and that cause it to vapor lock. first up close and personal experience for us with car trouble. foreign car with equipment added that malfunctioned frequently.
birdie99 had not attained 15 years of age in 1958 and no driving lessons were considered til about 1959. it was a rite of passage for all the kids to get learners permits and start practicing by age 15. at school birdie99 took lessons from a coach at another high school. but on her own with daddy to teach her she learned how the car

although a relationship had ended sadly in november 1977 and she and holly were hit by a truck on icy roads in january of 1978, by march she was encouraged by a new job at transport life. starting in policy accounting, she had now moved over to policy service the correspondence area. her new boss was dorothy isley.
birdie99 knows that women need mentors the same as men do. we need an older person on the job who cares whether or not we succeed. dbi was one such spirit. correspondence with policy owners and telephoning agents honed my communication skills. unfortunately, in 1992 when i was a victim of domestic violence, no amount of communication skills could save me and my sons from unintended consequences.

birdie99 loved jim grey as a brother. she saw him in person two times. the first time his dresser/driver buddy adams had him in the back of a van in a power wheelchair and the 2nd time birdie99 saw him in bed.

by telephone. interviews were something he was very good at.
birdie99 recalls that jim grey said he interviewed jfk and he had the interview on audio tape somewhere. he was hoping to get an interview with chris reeve when his brother david presented a portrait to him.
