I’m looking for a personal trainer in the Stamford, CT, area. I’d prefer a really inspiring bodybuilder so I can really get big!
How I did it: I went on Craigslist and found someone offering their services. It's affordable and he's pushes me as hard as my soccer coach in high school used to push me. So, I do things that I think are impossible, which is a great feeling to experience. Get one today! My trainer gave me a free day each week because I work so hard.
Lessons & tips: Start slow.
Expect to be sore at least the first week or two or month.
Drink lots of water.
Don't say I can't do it until you have tried.

I lucked out and found someone who was training to be a pilates instructor. She needed to complete 150 hours of personal training to complete her program, so I got a ton of free sessions!
I never would have paid a personal trainer but now I am hooked! Having someone to correct your every move is incredibly helpful. I’v always gone to the gym, but now my gym trips seem to actually show some real results!
She’s also helped to reduce my back and neck pain, by showing me what I’m doing wrong and constantly correcting my posture and working my abs.
Right then! I have to feel accountable to someone if i ever want to be active again. Will look at potential trainers, possibly one who can help with nutrition as well, and has good references. Go Girl!

I just discovered that I can get a personal trainer at the gym that I already get a free membership for who is the aquatics director. “Someone” has been told by the physical therapist that aquatic exercise would be hugely beneficial. Hmmm….
I used a personal trainer once but I felt too uncomfortable.. not for me.. Id rather just go for walks

I have been seeing a personal trainer for 4 months and it has been a great experience. I just booked 4 more months. I’m hooked.

My trainer, Julie, was cool as hell. But I was relieved when she relocated so I didn’t have to pay $50 a session anymore. It’s a very quick way to go broke. It did get me to the gym, and get me in better shape. But it cost a small fortune to do.

my ankle a few weeks ago. It’s mostly healed, but every once in a while I step wrong or turn my foot a certain way and I get a sharp stabbing pain in the side of my foot. This also happens if I spend too much time being active. So, either it’s healing slowly, or I have a stress fracture in my foot. I’m thinking it’s probably the stress fracture, so I try to keep as much weight off my foot as possible to allow healing and I prop it up frequently, putting ice on it as needed. I can do some exercise, but if I’m going to get a personal trainer I want to be 100% ready to do whatever they ask of me…if I can’t put weight on my foot for long periods of time it takes away from the program…so I think I’m going to wait to spend my money on this until it gets better. Poo…I hate it when reason catches up to me to force me to make excuses…I really do want to get back to the gym…really I do!!!
