    Up 1.5 14 months ago

I wasn’t really surprised to see I’m back up a pound and a half this week. After all, I dropped a full 3 pounds the week before, which I thought was weird at the time. I must’ve been dehydrated… Still, I weighed in under 130 for the second consecutive week. I’ll take it!

I’ve managed to stay motivated with my running, but I’ve been slacking on yoga lately, not really for any reason, just out of lazy. My goal this week is to practice yoga on the days I don’t run, so running 1 hr MWF, yoga 1 hr TThS, Shoreline Classic on Sunday (don’t know if this will happen or not; we’re broke).

Down 3 lbs from last week. 15 months ago

On Monday morning, I weighed in at 128, which would put me down 13 lbs since I started tracking here. WOOHOO! Unfortunately, I’ve already bounced back up to 131, but I’m hoping it’ll even out by this coming Monday’s weigh-in. The bouncing is annoying.

Down 1.5 lbs from last week. 15 months ago

Thanks in large part to Abe’s Amble, I’m sure, I’ve lost 1.5 lbs since last week. I’ve made huge strides toward cutting out dairy and eggs this past week, which will probably speed up this process too. If I learned anything from the race this weekend, it’s that I need to up my training intensity. Oh, I’ll eat 5 times the day of a race and still lose weight.

    Grrr! 16 months ago

My weight has been fluctuating since my last post, although I never got higher than 136.5 again (the week of my period and immediately following vacation). As of this morning, I’m back down to 133.5. I have to tell you this 132-134 plateau I’m stuck on sucks. I’ve bumped my run times up to 1 hour, am in the process of eliminating dairy and eggs from my diet, and will be practicing yoga at least 3 times this week. I’m hoping the combination of those things will help me finally break through this barrier for good.

Lost another 1 1/2 lbs! 19 months ago

It may not stick completely because I think I may have been a little dehydrated when I weighed, but as of this morning, I’m at 131! That’s down 1.5 from last week, 10 from when I started tracking it here, and 21 since I started trying to lose weight! YEA!!! I finally broke through the 20-lb barrier! The “skinny” clothes I got last year are getting really loose; unfortunately, I don’t have the extra cash to get some stuff that fits at the moment.

    Only 9 more to go!

Literally working my butt off. 19 months ago

Yesterday, I weighed in at 132.5, down 1 lb from last week. 10.5 lbs left to go!

I’ve been running 3 days a week, doing yoga at least twice, and really cutting back on the junk food. Then again, I had a big, thick, icing-smeared piece of chocolate cake one day last week and an World Class Chocolate ice cream cone from Baskin-Robbins another. (Can you guess what my weakness is?) But on the whole, I’ve definitely been much more cognizant of what I’m putting in my mouth, and I think it’s made a huge difference.

Down another 1/2 lb! 19 months ago

As of this morning, I’m at 133.5, which means I’ve broken through the dreaded 18-lb plateau that caused me to get discouraged and quit before! WOOHOO! There’s a 2-piece swimsuit that’s been living in my underwear drawer for the past 4 years with the tags on. At this rate, I might just be in it by the time we move to Florida. =^)

11.5 more lbs to go to reach my goal!

    Bad Idea 20 months ago

The Husband’s having a lousy day , so I let him talk me into going to the Chinese buffet for lunch. I knew it was a bad idea. I knew it would make me feel bloated, gross, and sleepy this afternoon, but it was the only thing he wanted. (grumble grumble grumble) I’ve been pretty good about what I’m eating lately, and this little experiment just reinforces why I need to stay away from that kind of crap. If one meal can make me feel this yucky, is it any wonder I felt horrible when I ate that garbage all the time? It also blows me away how much it’s affected my mood. Before lunch, I was in a great mood, and now I’m really dragging ass and getting grouchy.

Holding steady at 134. 20 months ago

But I’m totally cool with that. I went to a party with friends from my old job on Saturday and indulged a little (food, not drink; I prefer to get my empty calories from chocolate, thank you), but I neither went overboard nor felt bad about having a piece of Alicia’s Snickers brownies. After completing my 25-min run on Friday, I was feeling pretty invincible and thought I deserved it.

    Woohoo! 1/2 a lb! 20 months ago

I never thought I’d be so excited to lose half a pound, but after holding steady for more than 2 weeks, I’m thrilled. I’m now back to 134, which is where I was before I put 7 lbs back on. So yeah, I could’ve been losing an additional 7 lbs over the past 5 weeks (I’d be at 127, 5 lbs from my goal), but hey better 134 than 141 or (God forbid!) 152 again.
