But it wasn’t the conventional way. Gearóid showed me where it should be about. I’m not crossing it off my list untill I get one without Gearóids help.
How to find a Geocache
How I did it: I got some water and a bike, and set off towards dun eochla. My phone has a built in GPS so I used that to get close and then rummaged around. Got it after a while with the help of my friend Gearoid.
Lessons & tips: Bring water or some kind of drink if you're walking/cycling on a hot day. I would have passed out without it!

nevadagirlamber I feel oh so strange
I had a moment of pure joy today when I found my first geocache.
Jennifer is on her way towards making 2009 a great year!
When I first found out about Geocaching, I looked for a place close to me that had a geocache and went out to find it. I didn’t (and still don’t) have a GPS reciever, but Google Maps helps a lot.
I’m almost in the double digits now for geocache finds. I love that it lets me visit places and learn things that I never knew before. I’m going to try to find a geocache in all 50 states. I’ve been to quite a few states before, but I do want to visit them all. It will be great to geocache while doing it, it’s such an addicting hobby! :)
I have found two geocaches with a friend, but they were both micro ones, and I really want to leave stuff in one – not possible in a micro cache. I have my own GPS now, so that’s a start.

I went back for a second, more focused look. I was determined not to be thwarted this time, and when I was just about to give up in despair it almost seemed to call to me!
Because I just went looking for an easy one and failed to find it. I feel so humiliated!
