Participate in 24 hour Flickr event 05-05-2007

I did not get any pics. :(

I worked 14 hours on this day and forgot to bring my camera to work. So I took only a few pics. A bit disappointing but I will just have to try this again.

Okay, I did it … five minutes before the deadline! I chose this one, barely, over mothra. In fact I posted mothra first and changed my mind, because little monster is special to me.

posted my entry to the group. First, I had to join the group- I didn’t realize that I hadn’t yet. Then I had to figure out how to add a photo to a group, which I’ve never done before. Good thing it wasn’t too difficult ;)

This is the photo that I chose to add to the group- my daughter at Heritage Square, in Golden, CO.

Here they are. I was a little down that day. It was a busy day but I couldn’t seem to get in the spirit of taking pictures. I felt as if I was pushing it, searching too hard for things to photograph. I’ve had to let these grow on me and narrow them down here and then I’ll narrow these down to one pick…

I only took a few pictures on Saturday so I didn’t have much to choose from. This should teach me to take MORE photos and not be so self conscious about taking photos… one of these days I’ll get better!

Sebastian Inlet State Park on the 5th, I decided to submit my Wood Stork shot.

There are some great photos in that pool!

I need to crop the pictures, and then decide what I want to include. The ones I am leaning toward are not the best photographically, but reflect that day well. I took a few shots through the windscreen of my car of freeway traffic near a large shopping area – THAT I believe captures the essence of the day. I still have some time to decide.

There were late night baths, early mornings, family, exploding blossoms, a long walk around the neighborhood, baby ducks, hidden treasure, and we finally hit downtown Vancouver to see some live music for the first time this year. An excellent Saturday.
