Didn’t finish the DVD, but I learned a lot. Look forward to practicing!
How I did it: I ordered a DVD that teaches people how to get the most out of the Nikon D-60 camera. I watched it with the camera and learned how to use the different features. I'll only be able to learn more by doing, I think. Hopefully I'll be able to keep getting better by taking more pictures.

I am not going to fail my personal challenge on this one because I’ve done a lot of the work already! But work and school just got crazy all of a sudden and I may not actually be able to watch any more of the DVD before my trip. Still, I’ve watched the basics, and I will mark this goal completed before I reach my personal challenge deadline on it. Good enough for me. Look forward to trying everything out in the real world now, and adding a “Take better pictures” goal to follow this one up. :)

Tick Tock! I’ve learned most of the basics, though, if I can remember to play with them when I have the camera out. Better remember to pack the new camera when I head to Ojai, or I’ll feel like a fool.

yesterday online. Trying to review what I already know and see if it makes sense to me. I need to learn a bit more, but more than that, I need to get out and use it so that I can remember it all and make sure it makes sense to me.
Not sure when to mark this goal done. I think that when I finish the DVD I’ll mark it done as long as I feel I’ve learned a reasonable amount. This will be an ongoing process, of course, so I want to make it achievable at some point.

Last night I dreamed I was using my D-60 to take some pictures. I effectively reviewed yesterday’s lessons in my dream! :)

of my DVD today. I think it’s going to be really helpful. Just working with the manual was not really enough for me to wrap my head around the concepts; this works much better with my learning style. Some of the stuff I already know, but I already understand my camera much better. I look forward to watching the rest of the DVD and then trying this out in the real world. And then the mad purchasing of camera accessories begins, perhaps. Ha!

My DVD has arrived, and they suggest it takes about 2 hours to work through. I look forward to learning how to use my camera more effectively!

I left my camera at home on my last trip because it’s bulky to carry and I didn’t think it would be worth bringing since I know so little about how to use it effectively. I was reviewing my goals today, looking for neglected ones that could be relevant to work on now – and saw this one. I ordered the DVD my friend recommended, and it should arrive some time next week. I’d like to take the time to learn about my camera using this DVD – and then go out and play with it.

My friend recommended this DVD for learning about the Nikon D60. She said it’s really helpful. I think this would really suit my learning style, and I hope to buy it once I have some money. It’s pretty cheap, actually, but I think I should pay my bills first.
I’ve got a couple of disposable cameras I need to finish using and then I’m going to switch to the digital full time. I love the editing you can do with the software. Too cool!
