I want to find a cave behind a waterfall big enough to fit about 8-10 people behind, that’s pretty accessible. Anyone know any???
How to walk behind a waterfall
How I did it: me and laura decided we would surprise nick and tom by taking them to the brecon beacons to go see the water falls...after getting lost a few times on the journey we finally arrived...walked miles in the mud in sandals and walked behind a waterfall...got lost some more and had anamazing day!!
Lessons & tips: dont wear sandals to the brecon beacons
Resources: car, picnic

I walked behind a waterfall in Honduras. It was scary walking through the water on the way in, and climbing up the rocks was difficult, but it was so beautiful in the little cave behind the water.
Pulhaphanzak falls, Honduras, 2002.
I’ve walked behind two waterfalls in New Paltz, NY. It was absolutely amazing both times! I’m definately planning on doing it again. :o) Good luck to all planning on doing it.
walking behind the falls in Niagara is worth all the tourist hype. My favorite so far though is the falls in Watkins Glen.
...a few times in my life.
1. I’ve been to Niagra Falls (a long time ago) and my family took that tour where you walk underneith the falls in the rocks, and come out to this platform behind the falls and stand there and stare at all the water flowing over you in raincoats. AMAZING
2. In Hawaii on the island of Maui, my family took a horseback riding trip and our guide took us through the mountains and woods to a pond with a little waterfall and a cove behind it. he let us walk around and take pictures, swim, and explore as he lay down tarps and put together sandwiches and drinks for our lunch. we walked back to the cove, behind the waterfall and sat there and ate. So traquil and beautiful.
When my friend and I saw the picture of the waterfall, we just knew we had to do it, it was a trek into the wilderness and it was grand, lots of exercise and clean fresh air,
We stayed there for probably half an hour and it was just gorgeous
It was just a perfect day
i had always wanted to do this since i was young, and finally got the chance on a trip to the isle of skye, in scotland. a local guy named nick took people on a bus tour and one stop was down a ledge to hop over a gap to a small pool of water with a waterfall you could walk behind. so nice on a warm august day..

I did this a couple of years ago - I was only behind it for a few minutes - getting behind it had been difficult and on the way under I almost drowned. The way back was worse - my friend I were stuck in the water for about a half hour, fighting the pull and the pressure. Someone finally helped us out of the water, and we survived, but with cuts and scratches all down our hands and feet from clinging to the rock, and exhausted from all the times we’d been pulled under and had to fight our way back to the surface - only to be pulled down again.
In a big way my friend and I were pretty stupid, but on the other hand, it was still a neat experience. Next time, if there ever is a next time, I think I’ll try and find a safer waterfall, and a safer way of going beneath it.
