Shop for Fun is an online fashion game where you build a dream wardrobe and create outfits to win Amazon gift certificates.
Double yikes.
A good friend of mine is working on getting healthy and losing weight for health reasons. She joined a gym and goes before and after work (arriving at 5am for weightlifting – intense!) It’s one of the gyms I checked out last week. She invited me to “run laps in the pool” with her yesterday and I went. Such fun! We were in the water about an hour, “running” and then using kickboards for a while. It was a great workout. After the hour exercising, I relaxed in the hot tub for 10 minutes. Ahhhhh.
Toying with the idea of keeping a food journal. Not to track calories or anything, but just to be more aware of what/when I’m eating. Plus I feel that having to write down “random chocolate chip cookie” as I pass through the kitchen would deter me from actually having a random chocolate chip cookie. Etc. 4 months ago
Most I’ve ever weighed in my LIFE. At 5’3” (barely) something’s gotta change.

Oy. I somehow gained 8 pounds since I’ve been home. Holidays, yeah. But for real, want to get this under control. 4 months ago
I think I’m going to try to limit myself to 1-2 “indulgences” per day. I’ll see what I’m indulging in and then limit to 1 per day, 1 every other day, etc. My indulgences are small anyway; a piece of chocolate, the occasional can of soda, etc. I don’t really eat dessert unless it’s Sunday (family dinner) so it’s not like I’ll have fight the urge to eat a gooey chocolate brownie every night. Still, I’d like to cut out some of the extra stuff I’ve been eating. Because really, am I eating it, or merely consuming it?

Currently I average about 140 pounds. I just weighed myself and was 138, but alas, weight tends to go up throughout the day and so I’m going to go with last night’s 140. 9.5 stone is 133 pounds. I’ve set an auxiliary goal for myself (on paper) to lose 5 pounds in 5 months, so about mid-March. Winter will help, since I’ll be hiking most every day and plan to do Couch to 5k as well, plus from what I gather there’s a small weight room right next door to my house. So I think that will be good, plus I’ll be an hour away from the nearest grocery store/fast food place/restaurant so I’ll get to cook healthy meals and that’s about it! So, then:
Current: 140.
