I took the class about 8 months ago and passed. However, I never went to take the state exam. I was afraid that I was going to fail and just kept putting it off. Then people started telling me that I shouldn’t do it because the market wasn’t so great in our area. I think I want to take then exam just to have that to fall back on. I have a friend who is able to make a good living in real estate and they say I should go for it. So I’m going to stop worrying about it and just do it.

I took my classes in April, took my test in May and signed with a broker in June. I have one listing so far, and have one or two coming. I have (today) received my first real prospectiver client looking for a place. They found it on my web site. It’s not the most expensive home in the area at $125k or so (but I htink I can get them in for closer to $100k), but it’s work. I also work full time during the day, so this I hope, will be a good part time second job for me.
I am glad I did it, as noted in other posts, if not for the education alone.
My web site is www.briansnyderrealestate.com if you wanna go take a look.
Let me know if I can help.
There are TONS of real estate sales agents out there which makes it a tough business to get into. I’ve heard terrific stories of people busting through in their first year and doing really well. The education alone is worth doing it. Go for it!
I work for Professional Bull Riders Inc. as a receptionist for the time being. However, I plan on becoming a Realtor very soon! I hope that the connections I make in my position will benefit me as a Realtor. I’m a little scared but very excited to start my career!! A REAL career!
