How to eat an unusual fruit that I've never tried before
How I did it: I decided that I'd been a picky eater too long, and I was tired of eating the same things and missing out on all the wonderful things other people ate. So I started looking for things I've never tried before. A regular grocery store will usually have exotic and seasonal things in small amounts for far too much money, but they always change, so that's a good place to start. Then, when you get bolder, go to farmer's markets and specifically look for things you don't recognize. Then, when you're really bold, start shopping at Asian markets and Indian markets and any other sort of ethnic grocery you can find, and always bring home something you've never had before.
Lessons & tips: There's a Japanese saying that everything you try something new, you add seven days to your life. It's amazing how much wider a life can get by just eating adventurously.
