JUST BOUGHT A GUITAR ABOUT A MONTH AGO BUT JUST HAVEN’T HAD THE TIME TO PLAY IT.NOW IS THE TIME TO START AGAIN.

How I did it: How??? Well, I went to my music teacher at school and told her, "I want to play the guitar." She stared at me like I was crazy. I pressed her and she gave me this book and told me to use it wisely. I looked at the one-fingered notes. In approx. 20 min. I had the first and second string down to pat. By the end of the second day, knew all my notes. By the end of the fifth, could play songs like the devil. By the sixth, I was beginning and in the middle of chords. Simple as that.
Lessons & tips: If you want it, go get it. Honestly? I spent like two and a half hours each day just practicing the same songs nad notes.

so as a christmas present my mom offered to restring her 30 year old guitar and give me a 1-hour lesson.
i can learn from there on my own i guess. maybe

But I still have a long ways to go. I need to work on singing or getting someone to play long with. But I have reached the point where I can visualize really playing music.

i should probably just go buy strings. but i dont really get how to play. do they have books at the library or do you Have to get lessons?

I want to learn to play the guitar by next summer and hopefully help with my music… I write my own songs and all but I need music to back them up.
