Well, saw him play the for first time in 1992 in London’s Brixton Academy. Since, seen him also play in Holland and Sydney. But a special experience was a talk that he gave in Sydney’s State Library of NSW in December 2004. Afterwards there was a signing session and was able to meet my hero and shake his hand (wow, did I feel like an adolescent schoolgirl not wanting to wash my hands afterwards!)
What can I say…I just admire his extensive body of work, his voice touches my soul, and he’s just plain sexy!!

the year was 1994. I was a 15 year old silly Israeli girl.
I decided to color my hair purple. so I took the bus to Tel Aviv, “the big city”. the purple color was hidden and could not be reached without the chief hairdresser. he wasn’t there that day. went to “Dizzingof center” mall instead. at the record store there was a big gathering. found out that it was all ‘bout that tall australian singer, Nick Cave, who dropped in for a record-signing.
baught a CD and stood in line.
he looked so sexy, and smelled like “abroad”...
“what a pretty girl” said NickCave to BlixaBargald, who sat by him.
that’s it. I was in love, and from that moment on the future was crystal clear.
I am going to marry this man.
I was wrong.

Next to the likes of Thom Yorke, Nick Cave and Tom Barman are my favourite artists all around the globe. Thom has the greatest voice, Tom has the greatest creativity and Nick Cave is the man I’d ratherest be :)
Not only because of his extensive piano play, but also because of the fact that he is not the ordinairy goodlooking fella on a roll…
