I bought a DIY, it arrived today. I’ve been practising with it for one day and my personal record is 1:11 so I am getting really close!
I got lucky at the end though. (didn’t have to turn the corner pieces)
But I think I’ll get it done in under a minute soon! :D
How to fix the rubik's cube under a minute
How I did it: I already know how to solve a Rubik's for about 1.5 years. When it wasn't challenging me any more I decided to record my time and try to improve it.
First I had times around 2 minutes. Then I improved it to 1.5 min.
When I broke my cube, I bought a DIY which made it possible to turn the cube with only one finger!
After a lot (!) of solves from around 1min and 15sec. I finally had it solved in under a minute!
By now I've solved it twice in under a minute and several times just above a minute.
I feel like all the practise have paid off!
Lessons & tips: Buying a DIY has really helped me improve my time!
And, you should be able to see and scan very quickly. This way you can move on from one move to another faster.
It's all about practise though!
Resources: Ordered my DIY cube from the official Rubik's site!
Used online-stopwatch a lot lately!
Also checked Youtube and looked at instruction vids! Like these: 12
Good Luck!

I Just broke my Rubik’s cube! :(
And this time I can’t ‘fix’ it! Specially not in under a minute! ;)
I threw it in the air and didn’t catch it. XD
So it landed on the tiles in my garden and broke, the plastic inside is broken… :(
I might just buy a DIY…
Or another new normal one, but I am still sad the one I learned it on is broken…..
1:35 is my time… I am working by layers… Do you people have a lubricated cube? (I am thinking about doing that, does it help?) I don’t think that by the way I am doing it now I can become much faster. Any ideas?
I’ll just keep practising for now!
1:06 how frustrating is that. Layer by layer is hard to do this fast. Working from a corner outward takes more knowledge, but becomes a lot faster.
