I made this goal last summer because during the school year I pretty much am running everyday with my team, so it makes the goal much easier. Now I’m out of school and I’ve taken about 3 weeks off since the end of the season (about 2 weeks too long haha). Next year I will be in college running cross country for my school and I really want to be one of the top runners. I’ve started a running log for the summer and I definitely think it will help me keep track of the goal. I started running yesterday “officially.”

Above is my running log. I made collages of the front and back because it was just a boring white cover. Oh and I have a new favorite website:

It’s better than your average route mapping website because it’s specifically for runners. You can even type in you zip code and find runs that other people have done in your neighborhood!

I swear if lethargy was a disease, I would be diagnosed and highly medicated. I go through this bout of where I want to get back in shape, run everyday, do my ab work outs at night, drink more water, eat healthier, yadda yadda. But here’s the issue. I do it for about a week, then I’m back sitting on butt thinking about how I should be working out. Pathetic. So I’m gonna set this goal for myself, to run, run, run, not just for a week, not just for a day, but everyday. 1 mile, 2 miles, maybe 3. just run.

i am the mother to three great kids, navy wife, part time runner. i lost my groove a few months back, and i want to find it again. the husband deploys tomorrow, and i plan on running my sadness away. it always seems to work. i would love an online buddy to keep me “honest.” i guess that’s it. later

In fall 2006, I did cross country and was best on my team. I some how lost interest and didn’t want to do it in 2007, but did it anyways.

But now, I want to be in shape and run everyday. I look back on my first season of cross country and realize how great it feels to run, and be in shape.

About a month ago when vacation for school started I vowed to run everyday and get in shape. I didn’t. With the support and interaction from “43 Things” I WILL do this!

I had a good start to this last year, I ran for every day (with a break on Sundays to repair!). But I stopped when I went back to school because the time I ran every day didn’t match up with my schedule. This semester, I have a better schedule planned out that should allow me to run every day.
