i want to meet a mermaid soooooo bad…....

Okay, my story about seeing a mermaid-
I was vacationing along the coast of NC, we were driving along a road, and I couldn’t see the beach because dunes were in the way, but there was a break in the dunes and I saw a shipwreck.

Of course I was with my Aunt and Brother, but I told them, we pulled over across the street at a stop, and went to go look at it.

When we got there, the only thing we saw was the boiler of the ship because it was really old, but I saw more…

While they were busy looking at the ship, I saw this big black thing in the surf, but more on shore like something was coming ashore. It was only there for a moment, but this is what I saw-

I saw a big black or dark colored fin, coming out of the waves and then it went back under so quick, I could barely see it.

It was connected to something bigger, like the rest of the tail, but I know it couldn’t have been anything else. I didn’t imagine it, I thought it was a bird, but I never saw one come back up and I specifically saw a fin, so then I thought, shark or dolphin, but this fin was way larger and I would see the dolphin again, or it’s family. The shark was almost impossible because I would have seen it’s body on the sand because it was so close to shore.

The conditions for a mermaid were perfect because there was no one on the beach except for my brother, aunt and I and some other people way far down at the end of the beach.

It was beautiful, and I wish, maybe one day, that I will be swimming there, talking to that mermaid, one day…

Okay, I think I know two ways I can become a mermaid, one, is if a mermaid gives her tail to you, but I’m not sure if I can say the other one…
Oh! That reminds me, does anyone know a True/Natural Witch? I really need to talk to one because the one I used to talk to is in a war, so…
I am hoping I’ll be a mermaid by next year, maybe a little sooner if I can talk to a True Witch, I may have to be one with my friend though because I’m kinda scared to go in the ocean alone. I live in NC, on the coast and there is nothing to look at in the water, not to mention it is almost winter and it is freezing cold. I just need to know some things from a mermaid.
a) Are you insulated or when you go swimming in cold waters, are you actually cold?
b) Is there an actual Atlantis or Alantica? The reason I ask is because it has been my dream to go there, I want to be a part of it, live there, for a time maybe, and I have heard that neither one of those exist.
Those are it, and trust me, your secrets are safe with me, I do not hunt mermaids, I have even seen one one time, not too long ago, I’ll actually type that now :)

I have read alot on the internet…about people trying to find mermaids…but please leave us in peace.

most of us are very shy, and some choose to become human…to keep the secret, so please stop trying to track us down, when it is time for you to know about us, when the world is ready, you will know, but right now there are too many people trying to experiment on us.

This is already breaking the rules but something needs to be said.

basically it says it all. I’d like to meet a mermaid, pure and simple-like.

As for me, I worry about the mermaid.

It was 3/31/2007. I had just finished my first 5k-ish on the mall on the mall.

I’d heard nothing but good reports about the blueberry pancakes, so I decided to go try them for my self.

As I got to the coffee station, I noticed the sign: “Croaker, eggs and grits, $7.95”

You will notice the sign. I did. So, I asked the kid pulling coffee from the large urns … “What’s a croaker?”

She said, “it’s a bone in fish that we serve here. It’s very good”

She is a cute kid, about 20, wearing a trucker baseball hat.

“So, you like it, do you?” says I.

“Yes, but then I grew up around the water”, says she.

“Were you a mermaid?” I ask.

“Um, no” she says.

So, I have to explain: when someone asks you if you were a mermaid, they are not looking for the truth, they are looking for a story.

So, when it happens next, I suggest you say: “I was until I was 15.” She looked at me as though I was from another planet.

I continued: “no doubt about it, that will make them want to ask a question like, ‘Then what happened?’ At that point, all you have to say is ‘I had to choose.’”

Then, and here’s the part you’ll like… no matter what else they ask, “did you kiss a prince? did you get to keep the tail? do you miss having gills? do the shells itch?” ... no matter what else they say…

All you have to say is, “I’ve already said too much,” and after that, you say no more.

However, the pancakes were good.

I worry about the mermaid. I hope she is back to work at the end of August, pulling coffee and trying to live among the people with two legs and no tail.

mermaids are so real. so i wanta meet one. It’s problaby not gonna happen cauza i live far from the ocean. But i’ve lived so close to the ocean i was actually borned in a city next to the ocean. No wonder i love palm trees!!!!!

I would like to meet a mermaid, just to simply meet one. I want to drink in her knowledge. All of her secrets, her dreams. I want to know a mermaid, understand one. I guess this might be impossible, cause I hear mermaids are very shy. But who knows, right? There could be one closer than I know.
