B.Y.O.Bag Project (A movement to save the environment one bag at a time)

Went to the store this Friday to buy frozen pizzas, chips and drinks for my Daughters sleep over. Only thing was, I forgot my bags. No problem! We had 4 sets of hands at the store, so I nicely declined bagging them up and we all walked out of there, each carrying something. (:

and we have a lot of cute/functional bags now.

i am going to count this as ‘done’ :)

and no bag. Also I don’t get bags when I hire videos or go to any department stores. (not that I have a long time)

he was like “what is this? the save-a-plastic-bag foundation?” haha. i guess that’s what i get for living in a suburban community outside of houston. people don’t care about recycling or the environment or anything.

i’m doing my small part. i think that counts :)

and I remembered then too. I can keep this up. Much easier than carrying everything out piled up in my arms lol

starting to remember to bring the cloth bags with me when I go. Still not all the time but more than before. I think they might outlaw plastic bags in my town, so that would sure make things easier!

i remembered to bring my bags! we had too many groceries, so i ended up taking a few plastic ones home. But that’s okay because i reuse them for trash or lunch bags.

I am babysitting for two weeks. So yesterday we went and did a big grocery shop. I remembered to take all of my reusable bags. Yay!!! That is about 10 bags less in the environment.

they are on the counter next to my purse…. maybe today will be the day!

They always laugh when I fill my handbag up with my groceries and pile my arms up. BUT why should the environment suffer because I forgot my bags?
