How I did it: Insert drug into mouth.
Fiddle around on computer for half an hour or so, waiting for the chemicals to kick in.
Look up after a while and realize the room is dancing for you. Put on some great music to change its choreography.
Bake bread from scratch and feel like a Pilgrim.
Having now eaten enough to sustain you on the rest of your journey, burst forth from your room into the great outdoors. Marvel at every last thing in nature. Carry a notebook and marker with you and scribble everything that comes to mind. Extra points if you bring more than one color marker. Extra points if you bring fun things like Pop Rocks and 3D sidewalk chalk.
Wander wherever your legs take you (unless those mutinous limbs lead you into traffic). Eventually find your way back to your starting point. Feel mildly woozy. Watch a film, listen to some music, or do some other easy meditative activity so you can get to sleep.
Wake up the next morning, see that your room is a disaster zone, find reams of paper with symbols, pictures, and scribbles of writing all over them, wonder what the hell happened, and wonder how long you have to wait until you can do it again.
