pay more attention to my kids

This is challenging and that surprises me. I have made a conscious effort though and I think they have noticed.

So does spending half the day carting my son to his events count? He had to be at pregame baseball practice at 8:15 am, the game ended at 11 and then I had to get him to north portland for a swim test also at 11. Yeah, I was late. We finished at 1:00. Then went and grabbed lunch. Then ran a couple errands and then took a nap! LOL!

I’m doing okay on this. Better than I was. There is so much to do that sometimes the day gets away from me and when I look at Christian he seems lonely. I should plan a game night or something.

I want to slow down long enough to give them what they need and deserve from me – my time, my attention and my patience. I don’t want to yell at them so much and I would love it if I could be more even-keeled with them, staying calm and collected.
