makeup plus all my other body products: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, face wash, toothpaste, mouthwash, hand soap, etc.
It’s expensive, but I am so glad I am not forever worrying about what’s in my products.
Burts Bees is the best place to start (or finish). They are affordable plus their ‘natural’ products are so much more natural and safe than many of the other brands out there who pretend to be. Aubrey, Weleda, and Dr Hauschka brands are also very safe.

Just tried a new mineral makeup – Erth Minerals. The site name if different though at:
Erth Mineral Makeup
The great part is the products are the same quality as “leading brands” but cost about 1/2 to 1/3 the price.
Just thought I’d let you all know.

Yeah so the FDA doesn’t regulate the ingredients and chemicals that go into your makeup, your shampoo, etc etc. Many are carcinogens. So, as if makeup isn’t expensive enough already, I hope to make the jump to natural makeup as soon as I use the stuff that I have. My only problem is from what I’ve seen, they don’t make a pale enough shade of foundation/concealer for my skin. I haven’t put enough research into this yet though to say that it’s not out there.
I already use Burt’s Bees lipgloss and I love it.

When I started to realize the absorbancy of our skin and how what we put on it is integral to our health, I opted to go all natural with my skin care products including makeup. If you’re not concerned with looking ultra glam or having every shade of a particular item on the market then Burts Bees is perfect for you! I love their tinted moisturizers, among other things. Plus, since they are made 100% with food bases, I know I can (in my clumsy way) poke this stuff in my eyes or accidentally eat it and still be ok!

I found mineral makeup that’s fragrance-free and doesn’t contain any preservatives. It really helped my acne.

I’ll probably never reach this goal unless I start swimming again. I like to wear dark eye makeup.
