I have a few Nalgene bottles floating around the house, but I’ve heard too much about possible negative side effects of using them (funny, because when I first bought it, everyone was raving about how great Nalgene bottles were). I know stainless steel will last longer and is environmentally-friendly, so I bought a pink, 27 oz. bottle from Klean Kanteen. Now I just have to wait for it to arrive from Amazon!

With all the hoopla about the BPA, I think it’s time to just go with the Stainless Steel. I drink enough water that it’d be worth the investment, it just makes more sense.
Now if I could get out to the store and get it.

i’d been dwelling upon buying a bottle for a while, and in the middle of a train trip down the coast (where i was lugging quite a few plastic water bottles) i found myself in front of the water bottles at a food co-op in portland. i hadn’t researched the particular brand they had there, but ”.6 Liter Tinted Stainless Steel” by the laughably named enviroproducts was only $9.99 – so i called a friend and flurriedly asked “will this bottle poison me?!”
it hasn’t poisoned me yet. i’m hopeful.
