I have no clue why, but for some reason I feel the need to move to New Orleans. I have had it for many years now and I have never even been there and I really do not get it. Ive been accepted to UNO a few years ago and did not leave because of my job. Flash forward to present and the feel of needing to move there is still as it has been, yet I got laid off so I do not not have the job to keep me here… Now it is just save the unemployment money and do it…

I would really like to move somewhere at some point. I’ve been living in Festus/St. Louis Missouri all my life and I just don’t feel satisfied here but of course I don’t know if I’ll feel satisfied somewhere else but it something I feel I must do and I am in love with the city of New Orleans.
I’m making my second trip to nola in December for a concert, and also to look around for some jobs and an apartment that I can start/move in to within the next Spring/Summer. One of my friends recently moved there and loves it, and wants my boyfriend and I to get on the ball and join him! I’m so excited, I can’t stand it!

I have a GREAT passion for New Orleans. Do I think I’m going to move there in the next few years.. next five years? Probably not, but I’ll always consider it a home away from home. I don’t have to go into what an awesome place it is.. we a;ready know that.
I do think, I’m going to set aside a year of my life and try my hardest to make it back to the Big Easy!!
My friend and I have decided we are tired of our current existence and are packing our respective vehicles and heading to New Orleans…cannot wait

I made it. Classes start Monday and Hurricane Dean is headed far far away.

My biggest concern right now is my car. In the past 2 weeks I’ve replaced the muffler, exhaust pipe, tires, and refilled the refrigerant so the A/C works. Plus, I’ve renewed the vehicle registration, gotten new license plates, and changed the oil.
Now the check engine light has come on. I have less than 36 hours until my car needs to propel me 1100 miles across the continent. This is not good.
