So far I’ve been pretty consistent with practicing the drums. I’ve learned one song playing along with a CD. Then my brother, who is giving me lessons, came over and told me how I was doing and showed me some new things. So, I’m excited as it seems like this is really going to happen!

Learning to play the drums has been fantastic. I love the physicality of it and being able to play along with my favourite musicians and songs is very fulfilling. I’m not yet good enough to play in a band, but if practised more, I’m sure I could be.
Pohatutk Come onnnnn, weekend.
I’ve always wanted to play the drums. Growing up, though, I played everything BUT. Guitar, bass, string bass, violin, viola, cello, trumpet… but never drums. My mother refused to have a set in the house.
So after Rock Band came out, and I got into it, I’ve rekindled my old desires, and I plan to buy a drumset just as soon as I get out of the Navy. Until then, Rock Band has to suffice.
Lanie is a little bit stressed right now

I began drumming when I was about 8 years old. I stuck with, practicing daily, and went on to play for many years in a local rock band. I enjoyed it tremendously and still play on occasion. One thing that would motivate me to keep practicing was to listen to other drummers. I especially like the drumming style of Neal Peart, the extremely talented drummer of Rush. Buddy Guy is another favorite.
Get yourself motivated and keep practicing!
I had already decided several months ago that I would start actively learning how to play the drums. I’ve since been fooling around on them a few times a week and will occasionally play along with my MP3 player or with my husband playing the guitar. My brother will begin giving me informal drum lessons about once a week beginning in a week. So, I’ll go from there. Wish me luck!
All I’ve wanted to do since I was in 5th grade is learn to play the drums. I’m 15 now and I’ve decided that I want to be good at it by the time I’m out of highschool. I’m gonna start saving up for a set when I turn 16 and I have a job. Until then I want to atleast have a basic knowledge of the skill so I’m not just walking into this whole thing blind. I’m super determined to do this and I won’t be happy until I’m good at it.
demeTREEa is trying to accept everything as it is
I am a complete drumming virgin. Haven’t played an instrument since the clarinet in grade school. It would take struggle and dedication to learn, but I want to, and I think I’d really enjoy it, and it could be a good outlet for all my spazzzzzzz and angssssst
Jess Conlan is not doing anything.

My drum teacher is sounddd and I love playing them. I’ve been learning since christmas and I’m already pretty good. Apparently I’m getting a new teacher next term ):
