    My mum laughs at me because she says I speak Cantonese with a Hokkien accent.
    My dad laughed at me too when I tried to speak it.
    It’s really demoralising and so I avoid speaking Cantonese in front of them but I really really want to speak it right because it’s one of the most elegant sounding languages in the world.
