But I’ve been good this year, so I’ll consider it done! I even wrote thank you’s after interviews! A first for me!

This is so not happening. It is hard to remember to write notes period, and thank you notes, which are essentially very simple, are even harder when they are put off. Try harder.
Hmm.. bought a box of ‘thank you’ cards. Now the trick is to send them as needed, one at a time..

Thank you’s have been sent! Now if only I sent Chrsitmas cards on time… crap…

a very nice note to a friend who was kind enough to send me dinner when I wasn’t feeling well (it was yummy)

and I wrote thank you notes on time! (Within 2 days!)
I do not know why this should be so hard. I keep meaning to do it and then I rationalize why I don’t and by the time I actually get around to getting the notepaper, the occasion has passed and often the recipient is not exactly thrilled by my complacency. I always rationalize that she’ll know I meant well, but it really does not work out that way for some reason.

Wrote a thank-you card from my dog to her doggie neighbor for the get-well gift the neighbor brought over after puppy’s surgery. And did it within a week!
there’s no better feeling than giving gratitude back to others in a creative card or personal note.
