I suppose most fans of H.P. Lovecraft’s writing might slip dread Cthulhu into this category; but truth be told, little is mentioned of the myth containing any substance. By far more insidious and developed is the insane villainous mastermind who plays antagonist in Lovecraft’s “The Case of Charles Dexter Ward”. A must read, especiall in the autumn months.
