really and truly forgive and forget

Paulo Coelho(writer, The Alchemist) – on a journalist asking when he forgave his parents for having him institutionalized in a mental facility, he replied ‘i didn’t have to (forgive them), i never blamed them’.

wow. maybe thats the secret. never blame, then internalize, then need to get over in the first place.

by far the most difficult goal. came across this quote -> ‘Forgiveness is for the forgiver rather than the forgivee’ – by i don’t know who. it seem to be rather popular. i believe it, i can relate. the person(s)i hold grievances with care no less if i forgive them or not. so i have to do it for myself.

people say a a lot about forgiving and forgetting – but do we really ever?! i have tried to in the past, heard of inspiring, almost impossible and sub human stories – but i just can’t seem to do that.
