It took me over 7 months to start my deco course after I completed my nitrox course. I don’t know if I can put it down to laziness or just procrastination but I’m pretty sure it was one of those two.
In January, I did my first set of dive drills – swapping from primary to secondary reg, changing to sling tank, emergency shutdowns for twinset – which was fairly straightforward. Trying to hover with just a sling cylinder on one side was interesting!
Since then though, I’ve been busy travelling overseas with work so haven’t been able to devote any consistent amount of time to the deco course. Hopefully when this project is over in July-ish, I will be able to complete my course soon after so that I can start diving deeper wrecks!
