At the moment I do not have time to do all the exercises and be mindful of everything. I have so much on my plate, I’ll just have to try to wear weaker glasses or contact lenses at times, and be content with that, but I know that after I’ve finished exams, I’ll be more inclined towards this.

The only way I’ll ever achieve perfect eye sight is by doing the exercises and having lasik. Right now, for at least another year, I can’t see myself living without my glasses or contact lenses. There is, however, cheaper ways of getting the lasik, so I’ll look into that when I have the time. Perhaps I will get to do this, but I want to Zen my goals list to the bare minimum. 4 years ago

I’m managing quite well on the weaker lenses, though I have to admit that I do squint a little bit. I need to be doing the exercises, and hopefully, my eye sight will naturally improve. 4 years ago

I thought I’d lost the weaker lenses this morning, so I thought for a moment that I was going to get away with wearing weak lenses, lol. Well, we’ll see about that! I’ve gone all the way down to -350 from -650. I hope eventually to have such a slight problem, that it only warrants minor surgery or nothing at all, because maybe I can train my eyes to be quick and sharp, without a doctor, by doing it myself. The things around the eye are muscles anyway, so it’s like bodybuilding (sort of, bad analgoy) for the eye. 4 years ago

While in England I wore very strong lenses, so all of the good work I did is wasted really, but I have a long time to get over this.

I’m going to do vision therapy with lesser lenses, and then if I can’t get any further with that, then I will go for lasik. There are a few things that I wuold like to get, but I think that my sight is a better investment. I am sure that i can get quite good sight without corrective surgery though. that’s only a last option. 4 years ago

almost2impatientLasik might be the answer

I might get lasik when I come back from England. I’ll still do the exercises and etc. but I won’t bust a nut over it. I think I’ve done a lot to improve the health of my eyes. 4 years ago

It is absolutely unfair. I can’t see out of my right eye because during the night, those ‘continuous wear’ lenses that I thought were doing me good, are actually giving me stupid bloody infections.

I want to have my picture taken today. I look perfect, aside from the fact that my right eye is as red as a crack-whore’s. I’m putting drops in and cold compresses. It is working to a certain extent, but it’s only going to do so much. I have till ten a.m.

I’ll wait till after I’ve had my lesson today, but I need to get my eyebrow shaped (apparently they’re a bit big) and then I’ll ask them to put a cold compress on it, because I don’t want an all out facial, but I want to have my eye less-red. 4 years ago

I can’t see clearly with the lower lenses taht I have, but I can see sufficiently enough to manage, and it’s actually great being able to sleep in them. I’ll buy more of them, and when I am getting better and seeing better, I’ll almost certainly be able to reduce my prescription.

It’ll take time, but I’ll be able to do it in time. I’m sure of that. 4 years ago

I was going to wait until I was in England, but I decided to wear my new continuous-wear contacts now. They’re a dream! They’re not cheap at all, that, I’ll concede, but they don’t hurt at all.

They’re a weak prescription, and I’ll have to make sure that I do my exercises. When I come home to England, I’ll look amazing, and I’ll be able to see perfectly.

Today I have to go to the doctor to make sure that I do not have an ear infection. I’ll probably go myself. 4 years ago

almost2impatientUntitled

this is a goal that is going to take a very long time if I do things by the book. I’ve bought two pairs of new glasses (and I’ve gone terribly into my overdraft) but the glasses that I have at the moment are completely intolerable, and part of me wants to throw away any remnants of English life. Before I go home, I will not wear my contact lenses at all, and I will just wear the cheap disposable ones that are very weak, so that when I come home with my very good monthly continuous wear ones, I can just look at things clearly. I will certainly improve my eye sight by being vigilant, but it is going to take a long time. 4 years ago

almost2impatientUntitled

I wore the weaker strength contact lenses most of today. I can’t wait till my long-term wear lenses come through. It’ll be so cool not to have to take them out all the time, and when I can bring down the strength to a 3.50 (and less as time goes on), I’ll be able to do it by wearing weaker contact lenses all the time.

I think I’ll also buy pinhole glasses when I am in the UK. You can buy a pair of really ugly looking ones for next to nothing. it isn’t as if it matters what I look like when I am alone, as long as I can start to improve my eyesight gradually and naturally. 4 years ago

almost2impatientUntitled

I’ve ordered (on the internet), some continuous wear -4.00 lenses. I’ll wear 3.50 till they come…! I’ll be able to see quite well when I’m back in the UK, I’m determined. I’ll be glad to be able to sleep with lenses in, but I’ll make sure that I occasionally take them out and blink a lot, and put some natural tears in my eyes to make sure that no dust collects between the lense and my eyes. It’ll be a great relief not to have to worry about putting lenses in and out though. 4 years ago

almost2impatientUntitled

I’ve bought 4.00 strength contact lenses that I’ll wear at the beginning of July. I guess its annoying in the mean time as I would like to have perfect vision right now, but it means that I’ll just have to be patient and do the exercises. I think if I just slowly and surely do more things to make my eyes stronger and healthier (as I haven’t been getting infections in my eye as much as I used to – and that is something), then they’ll naturally become better accustomed without their ‘crutches’. I would so love not to be dependent on glasses at 23. 4 years ago

almost2impatientUntitled

When I am not wearing glasses, I can’t see a single thing, so it does not matter whether i can try to do ‘Vision Therapy’ or not. I try, and do the odd exercise here and there, but I don’t know whether it is making a difference. The lenses I am wearing are not as strong as the usual ones I was wearing before, and in a months time, I’ll try even weaker ones, but I’ll have to be wearing the lenses more, and doing the exercises more.

Getting Lasik surgery feels more and more lucrative, but if I ever get it, it’ll be to correct a ‘minor’ problem, and not a major one, though I hope I can see well enough without any surgery. If I can go from a 6.50 to a 4.50 without huge problems, I’ll be able to go further down, and see better, and more clearly than ever… I just have to use those eye muscles and learn to focus better.

i’ve not been doing my exercises at all, as i keep having minor problems that prevent me from going to the gym.

First thing, monday morning, off I’m out to buy Xanax. it starts with the morning, as I am never ready to do anything in the morning, on account of me being up half the night in unrest. 4 years ago

almost2impatientEye patch... trying to correct a slight lazy eye

I am working on making my left eye stronger. Right this very second I can see that things are a little blurry, but I will endeavour to make sure that I keep trying. i am wearing an eye patch on my stronger eye. I will do this a few hours a day. I can make my brain-eye co-ordination much more agile and effective if I work on my weak points. Things are a little slower, but all good things come to those who make an effort. 5 years ago

almost2impatientfrom 6.50 to 4.50

I’m actually wearing contact lenses that are 4.50 now, instead of 6.50.

I hope, eventually, to become less dependent on contact lenses and eventually glasses as well. I hate being dependant on my glasses. i think they are a sign of weakness when you have perfectly good eyes that you can make stronger yourself. 5 years ago

almost2impatientUntitled

I fell asleep with my contact lenses in yesterday. My eyes are really sore, so I’m in my glasses. Although the pain isn’t as bad as it was this morning, I have to admit that I can’t wait until I don’t have to suffer contact lenses. I’m going to buy a weaker prescription, and I will aim to go from 6.50 to 5.00 in a month… After that I’ll try and go down to 4, and further and further… I think I could attain good eyesight. thinking about it, I have poor eye sight because of poor eye-habits, not poor eyes. I haven’t been wearing my glasses most of this morning, so I am going to work from there. I want to have better eye sight. 5 years ago

almost2impatientLazy eye

Apparently everyone has a dominant eye, so I’m going to fine out what mine is.

My dominant eye is the right one

Today or tomorrow I am going to go to my optician and get a copy of my old prescription so that in one or two months time, I can see if my eye sight has improved as a result of using the techniques in the book. I am going to try and even out my problems with an eye patch I’ve bought (to make my less-dominant eye stronger, because I don’t want it to have a choice!), and I’m going to buy weaker contact lenses.

I know that I can correct things myself, and thinking about what the book says, it dose make sense; I’m 23 years old, and already I have terrible eye sight (moreso than most older people that I know, which I find strange in itself).

My family does have a history, but that is meaningless. If you can do body building and increase muscle tissue, then why not eye muscles?!

The book I am reading is very informative and not too confusing. There are exercises that I need to perform daily.

I have read at least half of the book, and I’m surprised to hear about some of the things inside it. I want to get my eyes tested before I do the exercises -just to see if they work. If only I could manage to not have to see without glasses, it would be lovely. 5 years ago

I’m going to buy a pair of these glasses. They are rather cheap, and they’ll help me create stronger eyes that are not dependant on corrective lenses. I’d love nothing more than to have eyes that are stronger and independent. 5 years ago

almost2impatientUntitled

Studiously, I got out my book this morning, and started reading the book I have about improving my eye with the exercises. The first chapters are concerned with explaining why the optical industry needs to change, and how us using corrective (or compensatory) corrective lenses or contact lenses are not good for us. They merely mask the underlying problem that needs to be corrected before its too late! 5 years ago

almost2impatientthe cheaper route, before I explore lasik

“Improve your vision without glasses or contact lenses”

I got this book with lots of high hopes, and so far, its gathered dust, as I don’t have time, in between study and procrastination.

I’ll read it tonight and see if I have any thoughts about it.

One thing I am concerned about is a constant eye infection I seem to have in my right eye. It’s slightly swollen, red, and has some discharge. I always have thought I’ve been good with my contact lenses but now I think perhaps I need to be a bit more careful, and I’ll read more about it, because it’s annoying, having dry eyes with discharge. 5 years ago

Pattie A.Lasik surgery

I’m so happy to awaken in the morning and be able to see without reaching for eyeglasses or stumbling into the bathroom and inserting my contact lenses. I only wish I had had the surgery earlier! 6 years ago
