How to play basketball by inneedofinspiration

"Something I sat back and dreamed about for way too long"

How I did it: I was sitting on 43 things thinking of all the things I wished I were doing and this one just jumped out today.  Had it not been for 43 things I would not have thought of actually accomplishing this.  It is 41 degrees in Chicago so it's perfect basketball weather.  During mid-day there are no true players on the court yet so I went to the garage and was planning on having to figure out how to use the air compressor when I could not even find the basketball!  I felt so sabatoged until I realized that there was no way to anyone to find their things in the garage!  I picked myself up by my boot straps and instead of going to the meijer when I go to avoid running into people I had the courage to go to the new fabulous Target and found a basketball for $9.99.  This commitment was financial but worth every penny!

Lessons & tips: Just go out and do it.  If you are able to feel comfortable it is a great experience!

    I will never be done “playing basketball”
    But I do want to make a College/University team and that is currently my goal.
    I pretty much made the team last year but didn’t follow through and transfer to the school (believe me, I am hurting for that decision) but now I am making the decision to play. I know why I didn’t do it last year, it was mainly because of fear. Fear that I couldn’t, even though the athletic director said I could. I just was not ready – physically and emotionally. Well not this year. This year I am going the be the STRONGEST at that camp. So I feel confident and I know I belong. I will not doubt myself, because I am my worst critic. This year I am preparing, and going to reach my potential. I want this more than anything.
