My parents took me to Sea World when I was two. My brothers and sister remember a lot about that trip, but I remember only two things: the pufferfish frightened me, and the penguins were the most amazing things I’d ever seen. They still fascinate me. A few years ago I received “Penguin Planet” (by Kevin Schafer) for my birthday and it blew me away. I think it would be the coolest thing to see emperor penguins in their natural habitat (as opposed to San Diego).
I figure if I start saving my money now, I can make the trip in … oh, fifty years or so.
It’s nice to have something to look forward to :)
