This ranks high in my all-time great vacations experiences. You need to schedule a couple of months ahead of time when you buy your tickets, and kids have to be 6 before they can swim with the dolphins, but you also got a 7 day pass to Seaworld when you bought the ticket, so it really wasn’t too expensive.

winning ticket  — 8 months ago

I just bought a ticket in a raffle where the prize is 2 nights accommodation at Seaword Nara Resort and entry into Seaworld. When I win I will only have to pay for my dolphin swim :) I have manifested this occurence into my life as a means of achieving this goal.

Nightime, watching dolphins hunt for food in the water over the light attached to our pier….... I talked to them.

Got a little closer  — 1 year ago

Well I want my true dolphin experience to involve me swimming with them, but I was pretty ecstatic to watch them from a pier swimming about a metre away from me under the moonlight. Three of them hunted food using the fishing light. They are truly beautiful creatures.

how to record this event  — 1 year ago

I would have someone take photo’s of me and the dolphin, ask if I could use a disposable underwater camera while in the water with them, document it in my journal.

I am going to research the costs of a package deal to this resort as they have visiting dolphin that you can at least stand in the water with and its only an hours drive away.

what do I hope to get from this experience?  — 1 year ago

    1. to look into the eyes of a super intelligent being that is not a human
    2. a chance to admire first hand & close up their amazing sense of fun and joy
    3. to feel a hint of the utter freedom in which they live

    where  — 1 year ago

I can do this at seaworld but that is rather an artificial environment. I think I can do it off the South Australian Coast. Will investigate.
