my spirited little Pomeranian needs a new home as we are going overseas for hubbie’s work.
she’s not good with little children and I don’t blame her as most pull on her tail or tug on her ears.
She’s VERY pretty and creamy white and light brown fur and a sweet face with black almond eyes – VERY pretty. she’s about 5 lbs. maybe 6 lbs.
She’s house trained and barks at people who come to the door.
She’a afraid of strangers and can be aggressive toward strangers but warms up to people quickly considering.
Anyone interested???
in the Boston area???
i changed my mind about this one. plus, i don’t think i have enough patience to own a dog.
i got my pom 3 weeks ago. shes 11wks now, my first ever dog and called devon. so worth all the effort finding a good breeder. she’s like a little fluffy best friend. all my friends love her and she gets so many compliments when i carry her around outside.
My pom was given to the pound (twice!) because the people that took her “didn’t like her attitude” or thought she was mean/snappy. Well, she is, but she’s also one of the greatest dogs i’ve ever had, full of personality! They can be frightening but they’re worth it. You will never be bored with a pom. I love her SO much and it kills me to think she would have been PUT TO SLEEP if I hadn’t taken her.
If you get a pom, don’t expect them right off the bat to be little friendly puffballs, and don’t just give up on it if it growls at you! You’d be missing out on a wonderful dog.
So many badly bred poms around you need to research first and know exactly what to look for! I know people with some ugly poms that are obviously not pedigree, but they think as they have papers it’s ok. Not so. Spend time finding out about the breed before you go looking for a puppy and DON’T buy on impulse! Once you find your pup, do not get him clipped or shaved or whatever, you shouldn’t get a pom unless you are willing to spend 3 hours a week brushing him so don’t think it’s ok to just cut his fur off instead – looks bad and he may never be the same again! I could go on (and on and on) but I won’t!
His name is Takahiro Tomi, but I call him Nomi-Nomi, or Tomi, or Nomi-Nomes. (lol) He is so smart and so adorable! I got him for cgristmas from my father. When my dad came through the door with him I cried more than my cousin who had gotten a piano. They are exspensive little balls of fun and fur (Espicially if they’re registered by the CKC or something similar like my Nomi is), but they are worth every penny! Warning! If you get one, PLEASE STUDY about they’re care and habits, and what types of human foods they can and can’t eat. Pommes are fragile creatures though thier energy may lead to you believe they can out-live anything, and they need lots of care (e.g. brushing, keeping every tiny thing they find OUT of thier tiny mouths and definately keeping theier nails cut if you plan on keeping them in the house.
Squee! Pommes OWN THE WORLD! Well… They may not own the world but they are really popular in Japan because of the small apartment spaces and such.
Laa-La-laa~ (Tomi is on my MYSPACE!!—> http://www.myspace.com/takahiro_tomi )
she is the BEST puppie in the WORLD! she love her “mommy” which is me and she is GOOD and SO smart
They are the most loyal lovable pets! And they come in so many colors! Mine is mostly orange, with bits of white black gray. You just got to take good care of their coats. Or shave them for hot summers. That looks pretty funny, but cute of course.
