How I did it: I used the bag pattern from the Tiny Happy website, altering it slightly. It makes a good everyday bag; not too small, not too big. For the knitted bag I used the pattern from One Skein knits - although I've used totally different yarn and needles so it's not the right shape. It's a fun little bag though. I'd still like to make a bag that I think is -wow!- but in the meantime, these will do the job perfectly well. I haven't got a picture … Read how I did it…

i think i might make a bag for school,
that would be cool.
black material,purple & black ribbon,a few black/white buttons.
that would be cool.
i made a good bag at my friends house, she threw me a surprise birthday party and we all made bags. i sewed buttons and beads on it.

I forgot all about this until I found the bag when tidying up. I tidied the lining fabric, paper pattern, box of pins and handles into the outer part of the bag itself so I just need to pick it up and get going again.
Whenever I go in Boots to look at hair accessories or if I pass by an Accessorize store I see the beautiful beaded purses and things and am reminded of this goal. The final bag is meant to be beaded with gems and things eventually, if that happens – we’ll seee.
I made a patchwork design on the front – a sort of chevron type of thingy -bit hard to explain – the back was plain and I also made little tabs for the straight handles. Made it out of old denim jeans and some upholstery fabric. It’s very roomy so is ideal for a “throw all your junk in” type of bag. I even made it with gussets and sewed some buttons on the patchwork side, and it looks really great. I’m very proud of it and of me too, heh.
I want to learn how to insert a zip into the next bag I make.
I made a duct tape bag not too long ago. It worked out pretty well except for the fact that I ran out of regular duct tape and had to use bright green for the straps. :P
I haven’t made a bag out of anything else, though.

and basted the pieces together! I was naughty and didn’t prewash the fabric. Oh well, I might wash the lining fabric tomorrow as I couldn’t cut it yet anyway cos it was too creased and i could not lie it flat enough. The bag itself actually looks great, if I turn it right side out and mock it up with the handle, it impressed my husband and my daughter says I should use it as a handbag! Maybe – or perhaps it can be a gift or I could sell it. Heh – assuming it works out well!
