Since I’ve moved to my new place, I hadn’t had any guests over until just recently. My girlfriend’s brother’s girlfriend came by before we all went out to a club (her boyfriend had gone AWOL for the evening) and everything was fine. Didn’t really feel uneasy at all. Last week, my friend Alex stopped by to look at my apartment after getting hired at the school I work at. Didn’t feel entirely comfortable, but we didn’t stay long, felt rushed so that may have something to do with it. The very next night, I had my friend Stacy over and my girlfriend’s friends who cut hair to cut my hair and color Stacy’s and Jnny’s (my girlfriend) hair. We had lots of fun, everyone was drinking Thai beer and we were watching Choompaa so I’m starting to come around I think.
Before I always felt like I wanted to go somewhere else when I had visitors. I’m starting to learn to feel somewhat at ease about it, though.
