My sleeping habits are absolutely killing my productivity and are causing me to miss classes etc. From now on I’m going to work towards a 6:00AM – 7:00AM start on weekdays.

this one. i really think It was just the changes in schedule that were killing me. Now and then I expect to have a few more sleep problems but none as severe as when I adopted the goal.Yay

quite well on this again. But now it seems I may be sleeping a bit too much. Working nights is difficult, I just get so tired!
THe actual being at work is not the problem its the day after, when I just want to get up and eat and then go back to sleep.

I had a feelign this might happen.
With the switch to nights, I have been sleeping well during the day, except now on my days off, I also want to stay up all night and sleep during the dy. This usually occurs for a week or two. Luckily I don’t have too much going on so I can adjust a little, but it is annoying to be feeling this sleepy and getting my 8 hours in small chunks…...

disturbed sleep is a thing of the past now. It may have been related to my less than ideal living situation, less than ideal work situation, comign together. Now I am working night shift which presents a new and different set of challenges. I’ll leave this up for a week or so to make sure I am sleeping well and the i hope to say, “I’ve done this!”

I had a really good nights sleep yesterday. I am so so delighted that I did because now I can cope with all the crud that is going on with housing for my next contract.

this just isn’t working. I believe it might be the constant changing of my shcedule and shift. Today I got called at 11:22 am to come in at 12 noon. I made it but I was certainly annoyed ALL day long, as well as tired out.
Tomorro I got to work at 7 am…
New schedule coming on up in October. So yay.

you know I am not really making a big effort to do this, partly because everything is going to change in a week or so. Especially if I do not sign a contract soon.

But I will sy the qualit of sleep has improved, even if my breaming is generally wierd nightmares that have nothing to do with my regular life….Doing layout for a magazine? crazy…I don’t even know how to do layout. At least I am a bit better rested.

I can not believe how horrid I have been doing. For a while I would sleep from about 11pm to 4am, walk the dog for an hour and then sleep from about 5:30 am to 10am….(Helps that I have an odd work schedule)
but for the past three nights I’ve found it hard to sleep….
I used to be such a good sleeper!

Just the fact  — 8 months ago

that I am up typing this might be a good indication that I am not achieving this. It was a rainy day, something night shifter refer to as a good sleep day, I slept…right into stage five sleep. unfortunately now it’s night and I could stay wide awake, but I’m scheduled for day shift….not nights.
Maybe this will eb the week to get back on track.
