share a pattern, anyone? 2 months ago

I am ready to knit my first sweater, but I can’t decide which pattern would be the most appropriate. Ideas? I’m on Ravelry, too, btw.

    Mittens 17 months ago

I’d like to learn how to knit those cute mittens with the holes on the ends, so your fingers can poke out. I have a pattern for learning how, but it’s all about learning the terminology.

    The book 21 months ago

I went out and purchased a “how to knit” book, so hopefully that will motivate me.

Did a hat. Poncho next. This is something I haven’t really devoted any time to… I’m moving it higher on my list!

i finally knit a hat 2 years ago

but i havent gotten much further – no sweaters yet!

Ha ha the only other thing I’ve knit so far, are iPod socks and variations of that. It’s simple, and not a scarf! Huzzah!

Well, I just got some crocheting books about a week ago (and yes, I know it’s not the same as knitting, but oh well) and some needles and such, so hopefully by Christmas I’ll be able to complete this goal.

that's not to say that there haven't been some disasters along the way... 2 years ago

    Done! 2 years ago

I sure wish I had thought to snap a photo to post here, but…

I finished a pair of white baby booties for my brother and sister-in-law’s future (Christmas!) baby. :) Since I have not yet mastered the concept of ‘gauge’, I had to knit several before I ended up with two that were the same size. It was good practice. :)

I am now working on a pink pair for a friend at work who is adopting a daughter from China, and then I have an easy-looking mitten pattern to work on next.

I LOVE to knit! Sure wish I had more time to enjoy it, though.

    Happy Knitting, all!
