More just like a bucket. I do not COUNT this! I also attempted to make vest, but it didn’t turn out so well and it actually became a sweater for the dog!! 16 months ago

I tried to make a ‘wrap’... Well, I guess it’ll be for the Dog? At least I know how to do the lace stitch. On to a hat. How hard can that be? 16 months ago
It’s funny I still have this as a goal, I have knitted more things other than scarves. It’s fun to go outside the box a bit more and knit different things. I’ve knitted a hat, a tic tac toe game(still in progress), a flower brooch, leaves for the fall, a bunny stuffed animal, coasters. This winter I will attempt socks and mittens!!
this goal is done =) 2 years ago
I’ve knitted a baby blanket, fall leaves, a flower, tic-tac-toe game coasters, and soon to knit some socks, and a vest! :D once I knit the socks I believe this goal is accomplished :P 2 years ago
I am ready to knit my first sweater, but I can’t decide which pattern would be the most appropriate. Ideas? I’m on Ravelry, too, btw. 2 years ago
I’d like to learn how to knit those cute mittens with the holes on the ends, so your fingers can poke out. I have a pattern for learning how, but it’s all about learning the terminology. 4 years ago
I went out and purchased a “how to knit” book, so hopefully that will motivate me. 4 years ago
Ha ha the only other thing I’ve knit so far, are iPod socks and variations of that. It’s simple, and not a scarf! Huzzah! 5 years ago
like the jumper with sleeves twice as long as my arms! 5 years ago

I sure wish I had thought to snap a photo to post here, but…
I finished a pair of white baby booties for my brother and sister-in-law’s future (Christmas!) baby. :) Since I have not yet mastered the concept of ‘gauge’, I had to knit several before I ended up with two that were the same size. It was good practice. :)
I am now working on a pink pair for a friend at work who is adopting a daughter from China, and then I have an easy-looking mitten pattern to work on next.
I LOVE to knit! Sure wish I had more time to enjoy it, though.
Happy Knitting, all! 5 years ago
The knitting club only ever had one meeting, and it was when I was away. Apparently, they couldn’t come to an agreement of when to meet.
Last night I finished a ribbed black scarf, so I am now ready to think of something other than… another scarf. 5 years ago
I still want to learn to knit more than just scarves, but I (happily) finished two scarf knitting projects this weekend. They came out pretty good. The brown one is for my aunt and the orange one is for me. 5 years ago
Today I made a hat! I’d had the yarn and pattern for awhile, but when I messed up one stitch I set it aside. Then I went into a knitting slump. Today I picked it up and worked on it for several hours, and now I have a hat! It was fun and simple and I’m glad I did it. I’m ready to make another as a gift, and to start learning different stitch patterns. 6 years ago
I’ve made most of a stuffed pig for my niece, and a few hats. I’m not marking this off until I make a hat that fits the intended recipient. 6 years ago
New here… and am pretty addicted to knitting. I have a few scarf requests :-) to fulfill first, but in the meantime I am looking at books for ideas for my first non-scarf project. I would love to try a ‘beginners level’ baby knit item, but I’m not sure if that might be too aggressive.
Here’s a link to a free pattern for a pair of mittens, if you’re interested: http://www.kategilbert.com/freepatterns/gifted.pdf 6 years ago
I was given some cool books on knitting. I’ll be starting my first non-scarf project soon! 6 years ago
after you have completed a scarf try doing a matcing purse. Or maybe a pillow. But keep things small this way you will not get discuraged thinking there is no end in site. the Book Stich and Bitch is a great book for small stuff I learned to do a hat and made my first beenie hat and from that i made my son his own Eagles NFL team color hat. Needless to say everyone in my family had hats and scarfs.
Here is a pillow that is all the rage. I took thick and quick yarn with a matching or color you like eyelash yarn I used cha cha and with both strands together i had just casted on 25 stiches on large needles and just knitted every row when i was done i sewed up all the seems but one. threw a throw pillow form in it and sewed the last seam up. Now all my kids want one.
I am currently working on my first sweater. Well did a baby one but never finished it. my next project is a hood that can also be a scarf or cow collar. 6 years ago
I can knit and purl until the cows come home…and its still just a scarf! 6 years ago
This goal may progress even quicker than I thought. I just heard of a knitting group starting up. This includes a number of ‘expert’ pattern knitters that will assist the others. I will sign up when I see one of the members this weekend and post more details here. 6 years ago
