Rich and I camped on Assateague several times. The camp sites are right on the beach. They have really nice shower bathrooms and there’s nothing to do out there but relax. The wild horses stop by to visit every day. The last time we were there, President Clinton flew overhead to dedicate the National Wildlife Area on Assateague. The helicopters flew so low we could see the pilots faces and it was really interesting to see Secret Service standing on the beach and boats patroling the ocean. 4 years ago
