It doesn’t look like we’re going to be able to get a dog for quite a while so in the meantime we’re going to babysit other people’s dogs. On Monday night G.K. is dropping off her Westie and Schnauzer (sp?) for a week. Her daughter is getting married overseas and she needs someone to watch her pooches while she’s at the wedding. We’re happy to have the doggies at our place. We’ll spoil them so bad that they won’t want to go back home to G.K.

Last night at approximately 9 pm our land hermit crab went to meet his Maker. He was a good crab. He led a short yet fulfilling life. He was the last crab in the tank. We are not getting anymore land hermit crabs. They are great little creatures but they don’t really love you back. I want a dog. I’ve wanted a dog for the past three years. Any dog will do. I’m not picky.
The neighbors down the road have TWO dogs. Ughhh…I don’t even have ONE. I gaze longingly out the front window at the two dogs, one a lab and the other an afghan mix, and I wish that they were mine. I watch them play, romp, and lay in the middle of the road. In my mind I have “adopted” these dogs until we get a dog of our own.
I’d love to get a Sussex Spaniel, a Clumber Spaniel, an English Spaniel or a good ole Golden Retriever. My husband and I saw a Sussex Spaniel for the first time at the Westminster Dog Show and we instantly fell in love. Oh my gosh! They are SOOOOO cute. We love the Clumber also. They’re small but they seem to have so much personality. Really….I’ll take any dog right about now. I’m desperate. Beggars can’t be chosers.
