have a holiday romance

the holiday fling turned into a relationship which turned into a marriage.. we now have a beautiful 6 month old baby girl and living happily ever after in this cold country!
i suppose i am simply just lucky… :)

I’ve been feeling that this is what I need more now then usual. I think its because I’m in that stage of my life (just now realising this) where I have to make a decision as to either settle down and not experience traveling and all that or, I don’t know… I think I do but that would mean going out of my comfort zone.
ramble ramble ramble

i did this.
almost two years ago.
it was life changing.
we still talk on almost a daily basis.
even though he lives across an ocean.
i know i will see him again.
it’s just a matter of when.

I was thinking about this the other day when reading a book about someone who has a holiday romance when they are younger, I thought myself that I’d not experienced that and regretted it, then I thought again and realised that later in life I did have what I could class as holiday romances.

I’ve got lots of really fond memories of these relationships and think of them often. I dont know if I would recommend it to anyone who is easily hurt or how holds high expectations, then again I could be wrong in thinking that way.

augest 2005 – i had gone to turkey for a month and at 14 i had no idea of what was going to happen as i have had so many innocent holidays their b4 and many of the guys have sleazy reputations with the girls so my mum n pops were very protective until we went to are regular bar and the new guy was their instantly i thought he was lovely lookin and very tall which is a bonus then one night i was going to the loo and he followed he went to kiss me and i pushed him away i think it was as i wasent exspecting anything but as the days went on i knew i liked him to and the secret holiday thing blossemed , one tip is with most local guys if you go on foringh holidays is to them your just another girl and they just use female holiday makers most the time xx emma

my first ever holiday fling-Thailand… and… we are still together (eventhough he’s in another continent).. isnt destiny great?

It makes your holiday feel so much special, and even if you never see them again, you’ll always have the memorys!
