I’ve recently discovered www.swap-bot.com and www.sendsomething.net which are both helping me to reach this goal!

i sent a package to zac. it included a letter, powdered creamer, a travel coffee mug, and some other weird doo-dads. i meant to take a picture of it, but i forgot. i decorated the box with pictures from a spanish handout on words for injuries. cool. i think he liked it…
i mailed lindsay a 2 or 3 page letter a few weeks ago and alyssa some letters a week ago, i think. alyssa mailed me a package back, so i’m going to mail her one as soon as possible. i’ve started decorating the envelope and i’m trying to decide what i’d like to send to her. i have a new pen pal and i got the first letter from him, so i’ll reply to that soon. i’ve got to think of some interesting things to say. i’m not very exciting lately, but i’m sure something will come along soon to fill a page or two. his letter was short-which irritates me a little-and i want mine to be long.
zac wrote to me. i need to reply. i should just start writing letters while i’m in class. i never do anything else anyway.
it’s freaking spring semester of my first year, and i just sent my first package. it is a healing package for my friend nichole, who is going through a break-up. as you can see, it includes a mix, skittles, a note, and some baskin robbins gift certificates. it was only $1.11 to send, so that rocked. fun to make too.
With the advent of the computer generation and email “normal” mail doesn’t get used for personal contact anywhere near as much as it once did. And this is a sad thing I think because everybody loves receiving mail.
So my aim is really to not let a week go past without sending something in the mail to a friend, relative, or stranger!
