My new thing for October: planting a vineyard in my in-laws place with the family. Lots of lugging and some learning. it’s fun to be out in the soil thinking about growing things.

Last month, I got on a little dirt bike for the first time. At first I crashed, couldn’t quite grasp the “pull back on the right hand and it goes fast” paradigm. But I quickly got the hang of it and started ripping up the Utah dirt. Anyway, it was out of character for me and thus a perfect candidate for try something new every month.

I started with a spinning class and then moved on to a Japanese bath/hot springs experience. Definitely worth doing.
