Flying is off limits to me, so it would have to be by boat, and it’d probably take at least a week to cross the Atlantic (really, I have no idea how long it would take…)

Then there’s the dilemma of deciding where to stay- I think boats only go to New York, and I would like to visit California and some other Western states while I’m there, which are right the other end of the country. Probably I’d need to be there at least a month to visit all the places I want to visit, and I’m not sure how I’d get all that time off work.

I’m lucky in that I’ve got cousins who live in America, in Tennessee, but still it would prove to be a difficult trip to book. Would I need a visa if I was living there for a month or just over? I don’t even know… 9 months ago

so it’s gonna have to be by boat. I might have a travel buddy now, so its just a case of finding a boat that goes to the US or Canada from the UK. I have no idea how much this costs, but it will be worth it hopefully. I’d really like to visit more of Canada, see the beautiful maple trees and national parks. In America I’d like to see California, San Francisco, the Grand Canyon asnd a few other places. Wish me luck :) 12 months ago
