if you’re looking to get started and you live in an apartment, be very careful about space planning for your work area. apartments don’t tend to get great cross-ventillation (windows along one side rather than both) so think hard about how you will move fumes away from you.
and if you have carpeting in your apartment, be aware that sometimes glass shocks and the shards can be difficult to pick out of rug fibers. this hazard can be dangerous and could cost you your security deposit.
it’s a great hobby and 100% worth doing. these are just things to keep in mind as you start lampworking.
