If you’ve looked in to it, you’re either A) looking for the ultimate car for both fun and practicality, love outdoors, and are younger than 65, and are going to buy one anyway B) Don’t mind paying the additional premium gas fees, and insurance costs, and will buy one anyway.
C) Not gonna buy one.

We love our 2006 Forester. Fantastic in the snow here in PA. Also great for hauling camping gear and kayaks. Not too happy with the gas mileage, but at least we were forwarned.

The Impreza, although a wicked little four-wheel drive, is a bit of a gas guzzler. And because they’re so pricey, I got the base model, and I’m DYING without power locks, windows and cruise. The cupholder is in a bad place, and recently broke. Grr. GREAT car on a lot of levels, but if I had to do it all over again, I’d probably get another Mazda.

with the two I’ve owned. I had a 90l wagon awd, and Currently own a 2001 Impreza 2.5 rs. The l wagon had 158k on it, and ran like a top. Needed a few things when I decided to trade her in on the impreza. The impreza now has 108k and It’s basically worthless to sell out right, so I’ll be holding on to it until it gives up the ghost. As a matter of fact I spend the day cleaning the interior, and drove it through a car wash. Looks 100x better.
