    Amazing! 2 weeks ago

I’ve been so stressed and busy with finishing up my Master’s, and it’s so dark when I get home from work, so with all those factors working against me, I haven’t spared time for exercise lately. However, resurrecting my old riding my bike to work goal, controlling my diet, and probably all this stress has put me at an even lower weight than I’ve been in a while – and definitely lower than my drivers license number.

This is awesome! Twenty-six more days and I am willing to call this goal done! :)

    Going well 1 month ago

For the last several weeks I have been a pound or two under my driver’s license weight, and at my lowest, four pounds below the weight on my license. It has been great! I’m going to keep this goal up until past the holidays. If I enter the new decade below my driver’s license weight, I’ll consider this goal successfully reached. :)

Starting to see a problem 2 months ago

I’ve had this goal on my list for a while now, and have done pretty well maintaining my driver’s license weight (with a range of +5 above). Slowly but surely I’m starting to see the scale dip below my drivers license weight as my base weight starts to drop.

I always thought such a thing would be a total blessing, but as the scale number dips I’ve realized that I built my professional wardrobe around the weight I had been, and pants are starting to fit loosely even with a belt! One has so many worse things to complain about—except that in all the salary reductions and hard times CA faces, I didn’t exactly plan to budget a lot of money toward new clothes this year!

Fortunately I have a few pairs of pants or skirts that shrunk a bit upon first wash. They were too new and nice for me to consider getting rid of them, so they got shoved into the back of my closet. Now that they’re my best fitting clothes, that washer/dryer mistake and my frugality served me well! Hopefully I can mix in a few new things that fit better as I find good sales so that I don’t break my budget. (I really, really wish there were good thrift stores or church sales out here. I’ll never understand why there aren’t!)

As for this goal, I think I’ll call it done when my base is low enough that my fluctuation does not take me over my license weight. I’m close, but it may still be a couple months away depending how things go.
