"Too cool for words, even though we entered the water right next to the main road, as soon as we were on our way all the traffic noise seemed to dissappear.."

How I did it: Shop around and be prepared to start at the bottom. I found a used canoe on Kijiji that was for sale by a guy half a mile away from where I live. It got me on the water without too much expense and proved that this was something I would enjoy. Now I'm saving for a new canoe that will do everything I want it to do.

Lessons & tips: I had this idcea in my head that this would be something I would love doing. The used canoe let me find out if this was true without spending thousands.

    Went canoeing once and kayaking once, I loved it SO much! A canoe is more suited to my needs, though, since I’m a birdwatcher and a photographer, it’s a little hard to do that in a kayak. But this can only be when I have my driver’slicence and my own place.
