live creatively

I don’t think I am able to accomplish any of my other goals, if I can’t do THIS goal first. It is all connected. So I’ll take a deep breath, let my negativity go and do what I’ve never done before to achieve what I never achieved.

Half my goals get checked off when I acknowledge the success I have already had with it.

I live pretty creatively. Especially lately, I’ve been finding creative solutions to my problems and just plain living outside the box. It’s my nature. It’s what makes me feel good. Just because I dont have the technical eye (or the inclination, really) for making my life outrageously creative doesn’t mean it isn’t already in it’s own little way. Appreciating what you’ve got takes a lot of creativity, after all.

I have always thought that I live quite creativelly. but now, as I am hardly catching up with all the stuff I burdened myself with, the only part of my life where I use my creativity regularly is my teaching.
Fortunatelly, I have classes of psychology of creativity again and now I not only try to plan the lessons creativelly, but engage in the activities for students myself. it is so much more fun!
therefore I decided to put up this goal to remind myself of my creative potential also in other life spheres as well.

Thankfully this has just sort of evolved on it’s own. Creativity is becoming such a vital part of my life, I almost forget that it wasn’t there for awhile! I’ve been painting nearly every week, and writing a lot more. Am playing around with collage at the moment and really enjoying it.

I made a new cover for my ikea chair….it just looks so darn inviting now! It used to be plain dark blue.

I’m so happy that I’ve been nurturing my creative self again. Gosh it feels good to be creating again! I abandoned this part of myself for far too long.

I always used to get so hung up on ‘being good’ that I’d get too scared to create anything at all. Thankfully, I’m getting over that and am just learning to have fun with it!

So here’s some spontaneous chalk art I did on our gutter. It was nice and colourful and put a smile on my face :)

Living creatively for me has been accomplished for me as I have incorporated creative time almost every day for the past seven months. I no longer have to “plan it” ... It just happens. :-)

I love this feeling when I get it, that anything is possible, that I dont have to follow the possibilities, but I can enjoy the sense that things are moving, changing and growing all around me all of the time. When I tap into living with this mindset I end up feeling and acting more creative and my life feels like its moving. I feel in a sense of constant renewal, in the moment, unable to look back or forward because the NOW is far more interesting as things are appearing before my eyes! A new way of seeing emerges, new people, buildings, things to write, make, paint, letters to write, plants to care for, I just seem to have more motivation and my eyes are wide open…...so living creatively means to me living with a sense of movement that I dont have to drive myself, it feels like I am just joining in a life that already has as much in it as I could ever dream of, I only need to choose what, who and how I connect with it. Feels good just writing about it!

Living creativity is amazing. You come up with new things everyday, somethings that others may have done but you never have. Things that are differnt, in a good way, to you. This is an awesome goal to have. It can make a huge difference in many peoples lives who just watch you doing such creative things.
